Remarks: Super Red Line Tetras (Hyphessobrycon sp.) are an undescribed species from Peru. They have silver bodies with a bright red stripe running through the eye and ending at the caudal peduncle. Their tails have a black spot bordered by two yellow spots. They look exceptional in planted tanks and blackwater biotopes, where their red lines shine brightly.
Some specimens in our batch have a golden sheen over their scales. This is likely the same response that Gold Tetras show when fighting off non-lethal parasites in the wild. They are very unique and rather rare, so if you would like some of the golden ones, please reach out to us via email after ordering and we'd be happy to include some.
