Remarks: Hyphessobrycon procyon is a newer species to the hobby and rarely seen. They are from Brazil and captive bred specimens are known to be hardy. In aquariums they have been known to acclimate well and show great color and beautiful finnage with males getting very long fins. Like most tetras they do best in schools.
