RemarksCaquetaia kraussii are an aggressive predator that will eat small fish, shrimp, and amphipods. In nature they are found in rivers, swamps, and marshes. They prefer to be in areas with a lot of vegetation. 

Caquetaia kraussii when mature will be yellow in color with a blotch on the operculum. Prominent bars appear when fighting or spawning.
